An amazing event on Iranian culture is due to take place in St Andrews, Scotland, and I am delighted to be giving paper on the first day. There some eminent figure talking there, such as Professor Ahmad Karimi Hakkak and Professor Mohamad Tavakoli-Targhi, and we shall all benefit from the erudition of their lectures. There is also a play by “Daritsche” Theatre Group; In the Presence of the Wind (Bahram Beyzaie) and many interesting talks in the three days of the Conference (17th to 19th June 2016). If you are anywhere near St Andrews, then why not come? Or if you are just in love with Iran's Art, Literature and Culture and can bear to be away, then send your soul to us at the "Culture and Cultural Production in Iran: Past and Present" conference:
